Did you know that basic signs such as eat, sleep, play, etc. are called baby signs. Many individuals get mixed up between Baby Signs and American Sign Language, but they're not considered the same thing. Baby Sign is learned by hearing parents, and they do not have any relationship with the Deaf community, are not familiar with Deaf culture, and aren't proficient in American Sign Language.
